Help make someone warm and happy this season! As the cold weather comes and the Holidays draw near, the officers of MLPD continue to partner with groups and organizations to help make the lives of others better. We can only do this though with generous help from you!

We are accepting donations on the basement level of the Public Safety Center at 555 Washington Road for the Coats for Kids Drive (Salvation Army) and Toys for Pittsburgh Tikes (Greater Pittsburgh Business Connection). Collection boxes are right outside the entrance of the elevator and southern stairwell for your convenience.

Please check your closet for gently used jackets, hats, & gloves for both kids and adults. Come in anytime and place the garments in the collection box for pickup. As far as the toys, the collection boxes have been placed on either side of the coat bin in the PSC. New, unwrapped toys in their original packaging can be received anytime as well.

In addition to helping with both drives, members of the MLPA have committed at least $2500 in funds to support the causes.  Thank you in advance for helping us help others!

The Association, together with the Police Department, continued with the annual tradition of making Trick or Treat a little safer for your children. Little ghouls, ghosts, and goblins were provided with glow sticks free of charge to make them more visible during their evening quest for goodies.

Scholarly Owl

The MLPA is once again continuing its scholarship program for graduating Mt. Lebanon High School Seniors. Please make contact with your guidance office on how to apply or obtain a scholarship application. Applications must be completed and submitted in a timely fashion. The Scholarship Committee (made up of active MLPA members) will review completed applications considering items such as community service, academic accomplishments, financial need, accuracy and completeness of the application, etc. Up to a maximum of four (4) monetary scholarships will be awarded by the MLPA at the annual ceremony at MLHS. Good luck and do your best in all that you do!!!

Near the end of every school year, the Mt. Lebanon Police Association continues the tradition of awarding several scholarships to students who have exhibited good citizenship and a focus on serving the community. In 2013, three scholarships were awarded to Mt. Lebanon High School students. We congratulate them and wish them well in their civic minded pursuits.
