Trooper Kenton Iwaniec loved hunting and the outdoors. To honor his memory and to help reduce the number of lives lost as a result of impaired driving, the Trooper Kenton Iwaniec Memorial Foundation held its fifth annual sporting clay event in September 2016 at the Shooting Academy at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. This event helps to both increase awareness about the danger of driving impaired and get needed tools into the hands of sworn officers to detect/apprehend drunk drivers. The MLPA once again sponsored a team of four officers who participated in this amazing event.

All profits will go to the purchase of breathalyzers (PBTs) for the Pennsylvania State Police and other law enforcement agencies throughout the Commonwealth.  For our participation, MLPD received a PBT worth over $500 at no cost to the Municipality!
